Legal
Terms of use (Nutzungsbedingungen)
These terms apply to the use of this website and its free tools, the GenAIze AI Act Checker and the GenAIze Academy, provided by GenAIze Technologies UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Rosenthaler Str. 72a, 10119 Berlin ("GenAIze Technologies", "we").
1. Scope and users
Our website and free tools are intended exclusively for businesses (entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB), public bodies and the people acting for them. They are not intended for consumers (§ 13 BGB). Separate terms will apply to paid GenAIze Technologies products; we will provide them before any contract is concluded and will only conclude contracts with businesses and public bodies.
2. What our tools do, and what they don't
- The checker, the Academy, our templates and our articles provide general information and self-assessment support on the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 as amended).
- They are not legal advice and do not examine your individual case. No lawyer-client or advisory relationship is created by using them. For decisions with legal consequences, consult a qualified lawyer.
- Results depend entirely on the answers you give. Each result shows the legal status on which it is based (for example "law as of 16 October 2026"). The law, guidelines and standards can change after that date.
3. Your responsibility
You remain responsible for your company's compliance with the AI Act and other laws, including deciding which measures to take. Academy completion records support your AI-literacy measures under Art. 4 AI Act; whether they are sufficient for your organisation is your decision.
4. Availability
The free tools are provided as they are. We may change, restrict or discontinue them at any time. There is no entitlement to their availability.
5. Liability
We provide the free tools without charge. For the free tools, we are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence; we are not liable for slight negligence. This limitation does not apply to injury to life, body or health, to claims under the Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), where we have fraudulently concealed a defect or given a guarantee, or to any other liability that cannot be limited by law. To the extent our liability is limited, this also applies to the personal liability of our managing director, employees and agents.
6. Content and templates
Texts, the dataset, the classification logic, course content and templates are protected by copyright and, where applicable, database rights. You may use the results and templates within your own company, and adapt templates for that purpose. You may not resell, publish or offer them to third parties as your own product, or extract the underlying dataset systematically, without our written consent.
7. Fair use
Do not use the tools in a way that harms the website or other users, for example through automated mass queries, attempts to bypass security measures, or submitting unlawful content through our forms.
8. Data protection
How we process personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
9. Changes
We may update these terms for the future, for example when our tools or the law change. The version published on this page at the time of use applies.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a merchant (Kaufmann), a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin. If you nevertheless use our tools as a consumer, the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
